Happy Haunted Day to you my friends,

So nothing amazing happened today. Went to work and then went grocery shopping for next weeks foods and then came home. :D
For Breakfast I had a delicious Peanut Butter Smoothie..

I didn't eat lunch.. I know bad skipping meals but I was at work and then I thought I would save some money instead of going to Subway. So I got groceries, which was super hard on a hungry stomach, and then came home and made this delicious Dinner.

It consisted of Baked Sweet potato, A salad with a little Italian dressing, and Steak strips. I like how you can still see the steam coming off it.. lol

Well I guess that is it. The end of another week. 8 more to go. :D Hopefully I will be able to keep the loss up.

Hey Guys,
So I went into the center today and was DOWN 4 lbs. That means I have lost a total of...
13 lbs
since the start of the big change. :D Just have to keep moving one step forward.

I didn't take pictures of the food today. I didn't eat the three meals today because I wasn't hungry. Which I know isn't good but still sometimes it is important to take care of myself over eating.

Hello Ladies.
Let me start out by saying that I am craving Pizza so bad. I usually had it like once a week.. so what do I do about that?

Here goes todays meals. I am kind of feeling under the weather so it was a light day food wise. For Breakfast I had a blueberry cranberry smoothie. It was really good. Storm even enjoyed some.

For Lunch I had a ham, bacon wrap with dejon mustard and romaine lettuce.
And for Dinner I had Wasa bread with cream cheese with tomato and cuccumber. Once again very delicious.I didn't leave the house today because I was feeling sick so I didn't get my steps in. I hope you are all doing good.

Week 2, Day 4

Morning Ladies,
I am sorry that this post is the day after. I was just so bogged down with homework. But I went into the center yesterday and I am down a total of 9 lbs.. I go in tomorrow to so lets make sure that tomrrow is 10 :D hehe

So to start off I thought I should tell you that I got a new kitten :D Her name is Storm and she is super cute.
Ok to get onto the meals. For Breakfast I had a choclate smoothie with peanut butter and banana.. Very good. :D It is a repeat from before.

For Lunch I had a Salmon wrap with hummus and lettuce and carrot :D once again a repeat but easy to make and delicious.
For Snack I had Apples with Almond butter and cheese slices. The ladies at the center said I should eat a snack even if I'm not hungry.. so yah. It was very good. Never had almond butter before so that was a new experience.

Finally for Dinner I had Teryki Sesame Chicken with baby greens. I was supposed to have a baked Sweet potato with it but ran out of sweet potatoes. hmm need to get some more.

Well I guess that is about it. Need to get walking some more but feel a cold coming on. Hmm Hope you are all doing well.

Hello Ladies,

So nothing much happened today. Went into the center and I am down .75 of a pound. WHOOT!!! almost 10 pounds total loss in less than two weeks.

For Breakfast I had the amazing yogurt berry crunch.

Lunch consisted of a Spinach Turkey wrap with bacon. So good. :D
And for Dinner I had the delicious Spicy Salmon with mashed Sweet Potato :D So I guess that is it. Hope you are all doing well.

Good evening my Friends,

So nothing special happened today. I was supposed to go into the center but got distracted. Will go in tomorrow. And I will let you know how it goes.

Lets get things underway. Breakfast consisted of the Berry Cottage Crunch. :D Cottage cheese will always make me happy.

For Lunch there was the Crispy Lox. This is Made with Wasa Bread found at the bulk food store, light cream cheese, smoked salmon, cucumbers and tomatoes. I didn't get any smoked salmon so I did without. It was a nice light lunch :D
For Dinner I made a nice light Chicken Taco with lettuce and cheese and home made salsa :D I guess that is it for today. Hope you are all doing well. Remember it takes one day at a time to make a change.

Welcome to Week Two :D
So this week brings a lot of new challenges . To try and keep things fresh and interesting. As well as to walk more and still see results. I am sure it can be done :D

So getting onto what was consumed today. For Breakfast I had a cranberry smoothie. At first I didn't like it but then I got used to it. :D Smoothies are my new favourite thing. This had raspberries and the flaxseed oil in it, plus protean powder.

Once again I had to work today during the lunch rush and forgot to bring it. I guess I was just to lazy this morning to make it. So I need to get that under control. So, knowing I needed to eat or else the body would go into starvation mode, for Lunch I went to Subway again and got a Turkey 6-inch on 7 grain bread. It was really good.. once again with a LOT of veggies and water.

I can have a snack now so I brought one of those bars from a previous post. They were interesting but good. I defiantly will be getting more of those :D

Finally for Dinner I had my steak, sweet potato fries and steamed Spinach favorite again. Seriously I LOVE sweet potatoes. :D hehe

So that is it for the first day of the second week :D Hope to keep things going strong. Thanks again for all your support.

Good evening my lovelies,

So today was the last day of the first week of the rest of my life. Sounds ominous? Maybe because it is Halloween season. Bua ha ha ha ha. But seriously some people say it takes seven days to make a habit. I want my healthy eating to be come a full time thing. To the point were I am not even tempted to eat unhealthy. So lets get things rolling

For Breakfast I had a delicious strawberry banana smoothie :D I love my blender. So light and kept me full.. I don't know why that is important but it is. I would rather be full than hungry. Trying to change my mentality on that.

I had to work today and since it is grocery day I didn't bring anything for lunch. So after work I grabbed a ham flat bread from Subway. Packed full of veggies. And I had a water for the drink :D Such a change from my normal Subway order (A foot-long Chicken Bacon Ranch meal deal). Then I went to the local bulk food store and found some amazing stuff. These bars for example. :D I am excited to try them.

As well as this flaxseed oil. Supposed to be super good for high chlestorol. My good friend Jocelyn said that it is great in smoothies. Which I think is why it is on the grocery list. :D So something new to try.
Finally for Dinner I had the Chicken Greek Salad again. It was so good the first time around. Once again it didn't fail. I seriously love this salad :D
Well the first week is done. Nine more to go and I have lost a total of five lbs. I could not be happier. :D Hope you all have a fantastic finish to your weekend. Please continue to stay tuned for more delicious meals and even more weight loss.

Hey guys,

So day went pretty well. Woke up early for my midterm and then went to the center to get weighed and get the stuff for next week. I am excited to report that I went down FIVE pounds. :D it is working and I CAN do this. I worked tonight which helped with the step count but we will get to that in a bit. Here are the meals for today.

For Breakfast there was a delicious bowl of yogurt with strawberries and granola. :D I love easy breakfasts and it was good because of the midterm.

For lunch I had a yummy BLT wrap with dejon mustard and it was really good.. I am in love with this wrap now.. :D
And because I had to work tonight I brought another wrap with me for Dinner. It was just the left over stir fry but it was still good. :D
So that is it for today. One more day and then week one will be done. :D Nothing much else to report. Hope you are all doing well. <3 Remember to take each day one step at a time. Life is a marathon not a race.

So lets get this underway. Breakfast consisted of Yogurt, granola and Banana. It was really good. Sometimes I forget how delicious the simple things can be. :D

Lunch had a salmon wrap in store because i loved it so much last time :D Big cup of water and a little hummus and cracker on the side. :D

Went off the menu a little bit with this one. For Dinner I had a stir fry without rice. It was so good. Lots of fresh veggies and chicken.
Other than that not much is new. I have a midterm tomorrow that I should be studying for. Hope you are all doing well. Two more days til the week is over.

Hey Friends,
So three more days to go and then Week one will be done. I am really enjoying this journey. I think I am in the honeymoon stage still. You know, you try something new and you really like it for the first part but then everything starts getting old and boring. I am determined to always be in the honeymoon stage with this.

So for Breakfast I told you I had the smoothie. It was delicious. The peanut butter covered the taste of the protean very nicely and it defiantly did keep me full until around 11:30 which is good. Here is a picture of the Smoothie.

For Lunch I had the most fantastic Chicken Greek Salad EVER. I am not even kidding.. I loved it and will defiantly have this again.
After lunch I went to the center. I have to go three times a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. They did my measurements on Monday and took my picture. I also get weighed everyday. On Monday I was up a little but today i was back down to when I went in last Friday. So yah. It is working but slowly. Three Pounds but still the same technically.

Lunch kept me so full that I didn't need a snack so this is Dinner. Normally I would be at work so we planned an easy take with you wrap. Just a turkey wrap. It was really good on a whole wheat wrap and dejon mayo. The cheese was swiss :D
So I think that is about it for tonight. I hope you all had a good day.

Smooothie Woes

Good morning :D

Ok so I guess I have been fat for too long. I am of the mindset that a half a cup of chocolate milk, half a banana and some peanut butter, with Protean powder is supposed to keep me not hungry til lunch. Well we will try it and see.

Hey my beautiful people :D

So day three went pretty well. nothing unusual standing out. I woke up late today so was really tired. I need to start going to bed earlier. Welp, let me show you what I ate. Breakfast consisted of cottage Berry Crunch. It is actually very delicious.

I had to premake my lunch because I was at school for it. The menu called for salmon hummus lettuce wraps but the lettuce would not work with me so I changed it into just a regular wrap. I don't think I will ever use mayo again. Seriously the hummus was so good on this :D

Once again I needed to have an afternoon snack so the left over hummus and crackers were delicious around 3:00 when the tummy started grumbling and water wouldn't help.

Finally for dinner the menu called for steak, sweet potato chips and spinach. SO GOOD. I am loving this so far. Also had to resist adding ketchup to the steak.. and salt and butter to the potatoes and spinach.
So what I learned today: I am never eating regular potato again. I am so in love with Sweet potato :D.

Hey all,

So welcome to the second day of the change. Things are going pretty good. Woke up early this morning because I need to get my sleep patterns under control. So here goes.

For breakfast I had Scrambled eggs, with raspberries. There was only one whole egg and then two more egg whites in the meal. And the recepie called for cheddar but I didn't have any on hand. So what I learned from this is that Swiss is to sharp for eggs. It was a lot of food. I didn't finish it. I had to struggle to not put ketchup on top of this.

The Chicken Salad was for lunch at school before my midterm. I got home and around 3:30ish i was hungry. So decided to go off the menu a bit and have a snack. So crackers and hummus. I used to not like hummus but now I find it delicious.

Finally for dinner I had mashed sweet potatoes and Salmon steak. The salmon is covered in Salsa and it was DELICIOUS. I didn't add anything to the sweet potatoes and realized that I didn't need to. They were still good.

Well I think that is it. I will update my step count when I get back from my walk. <3 Hope you are all doing well.

Hey guys,

First off I want to say thank you so much for all the support. It is tremendous. I am so grateful you don't even know :D I thought I should post a before picture because I haven't yet figured out how to make tabs to have a section for that. So here is my before Picture.This was taken January 2009 at the Christian Fellowship group that I am a part of. I don't really know how much I weigh here but it is too much. :D

Now onto how my first day went. Started out with a good meal called Not-So Cottage Cheese. Which is a half cup of cottage cheese, raspberries, almonds, banana and the protean powder they gave me. Along with like 8 pills to start the day. Not a bad start. It tasted a little off because I am not used to protean powder and the almonds I picked up were actually flavoured.. So yah.
After Church a friend and I went to the mall. I needed to pick up a scale to weigh the food. I did not know that 125 g of something is half a cup.. so yay scale. I was super hungry and a ham wrap was supposed to be for lunch. So instead of making it at home I went to Mr. Sub and got a whole wheat ham wrap and water. It was really good. I am sure the green olives were a little salty but it is ok. Also I picked up Almond butter at Bulk Barn because when I went grocery shopping for the week Sobey's didn't have any.

For dinner It was supposed to be a Garden Chicken Salad. This has mushrooms, onions and chicken in it. Looks delicious eh?

But I didn't get around to eating it because another friend asked me over to her place. So we did dinner there. Which wasn't so healthy but I did only drink water while I was there. So I am saving the chicken salad for tomorrow's lunch. :D

So yesterday I had a meeting with an adviser from U-Weightloss. For those of you who don't know what it is I will give a brief overview. What U-Weightloss does is provides menus and meal plans for a week and then gives you vitamins to take that will help boost motabalism and get everything in order.

So starting tomorrow I will be doing this. I need to do this. I NEED to loose weight. It is a bit pricey but I need to do this. I have been overweight for FAR too long and am fed up. I try to eat healthy but don't have the time to do things. That is just an excuse. But now I am done with excuses.

I am doing this for me. I am loosing weight because I NEED to.. I can't go on like this any more. So I paid for the first ten weeks. So we will see how this goes. I am 50 lbs more than I thought I was.. which is really scary. So now I am doing this.

Hope you are all going along with me for the ride. I will be posting menus for the day and what I like and didn't like.
